
The Benkatine Turbine is a neat little gizmo that generates power from any pipe which feeds water. Think of it as a micro-hydroelectric power plant and you’re somewhere close, except you’re using small flows of water to create power rather than a mega-massive dam holding back billions of gallons of water. I suspect that this will be more useful for placement in things like rain water run-offs than in toilet pipework, but then again…? More here.
