Saw this on Amazon.com and seemed like a good name for a tool (or kit) we’d all find useful. It’s called the Calamity Kit.

Portable, and renewable energy will be essential to any survival situation. Electricity could be hard to find. Batteries that can be recharged using solar energy will be extremely valuable during a catastrophe or natural disaster. So, a portable battery pack, with inverter, that can be charged with the sun, will be invaluable. Not only to charge any electroncs you may need, but batteries that power your flashlights and such. So after some looking I found this Portable Solar battery at amazon.com for $155. Considering I paid 1/2 that for an AC charged batter pack, it’s not a bad deal.
